appel à votre solidarité financière et un soutien de Tadamon

L’année 2009 a été caractérisée par un effort intense et soutenu, ainsi que par plusieurs réalisations pour le collectif Tadamon! Montréal. Nous entamons à présent les mois d’automne avec un ordre du jour rempli d’événements et d’initiatives et avec la perspective de réalisations futures. Nous faisons appel aussi aux partisans, amis et sympathisants de Tadamon! pour leur demander de faire preuve de solidarité financière.

L’activisme de Tadamon se concentre sur la lutte pour la justice sociale, la libération et l’égalité pour les peuples de la Palestine, du Liban et du Moyen-Orient en général. Ce travail s’effectue à travers un effort collectif. Il implique ceux qui œuvrent dans le cadre de notre travail régulier de planification et d’organisation, mais aussi ceux qui participent aux événements publics de Tadamon et qui suivent le travail de Tadamon et fournissent un appui sous forme de contributions financières.

Joignez Tadamon! pour une série de films du Moyen Orient. La révolution algérienne, la guerre civile libanaise et la lutte palestinienne seront les thèmes pour cet été.

Toutes les projections de film auront lieu à l’extérieur de 2035 Saint Laurent (près de la rue Ontario- Métro Saint Laurent) Heure: 21h, gratuit!. Voir ci-dessous pour les dates de projection de chaque film. En case de pluie, la projection sera reportée d’une semaine, la projection aura lieu au même endriot.

Excitement is building around the ongoing Artists Against Apartheid concert series, which unites ground breaking artists and musicians in Montreal in solidarity with Palestinian human rights. As part of the annual Suoni per il Popolo music festival the eighth edition of Artists Against Apartheid featured some of the most celebrated grassroots artists in Montreal.

Esmerine headlined the concert with a quartet performance that included an appearance from singer Lhasa de Sela, while saxophonist Colin Stetson opened the concert stunning the audience at La Sala Rossa with a performance that clearly outlined the reasons for the growing hype surrounding Stetson’s music. Also joining the evening was Jean the Hatchet a collaboration between violinist Sarah Neufeld of Arcade Fire and Bell Orchestre, percussionist Shahzad Ismaily from New York City and Colin Stetson.

The small Palestinian village of Bilin will face-off this month against two Canadian corporations accused of aiding and abetting the colonization of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Bilin has charged Green Park International and Green Mount International with illegally constructing residential buildings and other settlement infrastructure on village territory, and marketing such structures to the civilian population of the State of Israel. The condominiums in question are located in a settlement neighborhood known as Matityahu East.
