Montreal, the second in a series under the banner Artists Against Apartheid, aiming to unite Montreal artists in support of the growing international movement to boycott Israeli apartheid; an event taking place within the context of Israeli Apartheid Week throughout the world…

* Kaie Kellough: Acclaimed Montreal spoken-word poet, author of Lettricity and active member of the literary community, who has read his work in Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, New York, and Thunder Bay, while being a featured artist in CBC’s 2003 Canada Reads series…

* Fortner Anderson: As a poet Fortner Anderson’s poems are found on several CD compilations and have been published internationally, recent performance venues have included the Banff Centre (Alberta), Cabaret (Montreal), the Rivoli (Toronto), St-Mark’s Church (New York), and Genoa, Italy where he opened the 8th edition of the Genoa International Poetry Festival.

* Trish Salah: Arab-Irish Canadian writer and teacher at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute. Her first book of poetry, “Wanting in Arabic” reflected on life in the Lebanese diaspora, transsexuality, sex worker’s rights, anti-imperialism and Palestinian solidarity. She continues to address these issues in her current work in progress, Second Sexes and Others.

This event will benefit Tadamon! Montreal’s ongoing work and campaign directed at building solidarity between movements for social & economic justice from Montreal to the Middle East. Tadamon!’s ongoing political campaigns operating in Canada, including the campaign for Boycott, Sanctions & Divestment of the apartheid Israeli state & the campaign to challenge the listing of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization by the Canadian government.
